It’s actually a gathering of giveaways created by Sarah K. Vetter (@SKVetterWrites), which aims to spread positivity and joy as well as to promote all kinds of books people love.

Vetter herself says, “With all the events that are so polarizing in the news today, I wanted to do something that reminded us of the things that do draw us together.”

Now let’s talk about my giveaway contribution for #BooksBindUs!

Celebrating my 21st birthday with a giveaway!

Hello there, everyone! As expected, I haven’t been blogging for quite some time now. I’m not even going to pretend to be surprised. There have been a lot of changes in my life, which have consequently forced me to reevaluate my priorities and take a step back from some things I enjoy doing (e.g. blogging). Even as I type this now, there’s a mountain of deadlines I’ve yet to conquer, so I don’t have the luxury of time to enumerate every little thing that’s been going on with me lately. But I will share the biggest (and arguably the most significant) change I’m facing: starting over.

What do I mean?

Kit: I don’t know why I decide not to sit with Annie and Violet at lunch. It feels like no one here gets what I’m going through. How could they? I don’t even understand.

David: In the 622 days I’ve attended Mapleview High, Kit Lowell is the first person to sit at my lunch table. I mean, I’ve never once sat with someone until now. “So your dad is dead,” I say to Kit, because this is a fact I’ve recently learned about her.

Interview with Ana Tejano: Keep the Faith (+ GIVEAWAY)

Ana Tejano has been in love with words and writing ever since she met Elizabeth Wakefield when she was in Grade 3. She has contributed several non-fiction pieces in print and online publications, and has been blogging for years. When she’s not writing, she works as a communications manager for a payroll outsourcing firm, and serves in CFC Singles for Christ in every other time that she doesn’t spend reading or sleeping. She lives in Metro Manila and is also known by another name in her other circles (but it’s not a secret identity, really).

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hello, Ana! It’s great to have a fellow Filipina on my blog today. I’d like to start this interview off with a few questions about you, if that’s all right. If you weren’t a writer, what alternative career path do you see yourself in?

Hi Shealea! So glad to be here. If I weren’t a writer, I would probably be working in IT. I graduated with a Computer Science degree, so the tech path was one that I took, but then I found myself in marketing and communications. In a way, I still write for a living, but the fiction I do on the side. The day job helps me fund my book obsession and all other indie writer expenses.

Review || Keep the Faith (+ GIVEAWAY)

Title: Keep the Faith
Author: Ana Tejano
Genre: Adult, Romance, Contemporary, Christian
Copy: Digital
Rating:

First things first: I received a digital copy of this book as part of my participation in a blog tour – this, however, affects neither my opinion nor the content of my review in any way. Many, many thanks to the author for this opportunity!

Keep the Faith is a relatively short novel that tackles, well, faith (and Faith, for that matter) – during devastating times, amidst large-scale tragedies, in the middle of heartbreak, and even in the people who don’t deserve it. The story immediately jumps into the messy aftermath of Faith’s breakup with her five-year boyfriend James. From there, we are whisked into her journey towards healing and moving forward. Make no mistake, however, Keep the Faith is more than what meets the eye.
